Thanks to Greg Luca for hunting this down! Such a major own goal from UTSA. These contracts have to go through several rounds of review, up to the Board of Regents. Really disappointing it wasn't caught and addressed before being signed

.Greg Luca reports that UTSA Baseball Head Coach Pat Hallmark’s contract was amended twice, in 2023 & 2024. According to a school spokesman, the 2024 amendment listed the end date incorrectly as May 31, 2025. The actual amendments have been requested but not yet provided.

I get it, especially because section 3 of the original contract wouldn't need to be addressed at all if the term isn't changing. But, the "extends" language for an earlier date smells like an accident, and the amendment would've adjusted other references to 2026 in the original.
