Adria Vargas with the Marcus Henry Award! The Marcus Henry Award is given to a student who is good athlete and good grades. But importantly someone with outstanding community service. In 2024 Vargas completed she completed a research project on innovative eelgrass restoration.

She completed a research project on making water filtration of wood chips and biochar. She wrote a winning research proposal for a grant from the Long Island Nitrogen Action Plan.

On the athletic side, for the season she had 273 kills, 264 digs, and 77 aces. She had 21 kills, five aces, and two blocks in the LIC championship game against South Side.
