Grapes aren't the only things growing on our vines this summer - thanks to our regenerative practices, all sorts of native birds like to call our vineyards home too.

Even after this cover crop succumbs to the heat of summer, it'll still be doing it's job to protect our soil. The dried vegetation blocks the Sun's rays from heating up our earth, keeping the microbes that live there nice and cool year-round.

On July 4th, 1977, Austin Hills and Mike Grgich broke ground in Rutherford, California, in pursuit of their shared ambition. 47 years later, we'd like to raise a toast to the 248th birthday of the United States, and to an American dream fulfilled. Cheers, and živeli!

An 'owl'-natural way of keeping pesky rodent populations at bay, we see dozens of owl families making themselves at home in our many nest boxes each year. We're happy to rent the space to them - in exchange for their work as our gopher-catching team!
