Our ornithomimid is shaping up nicely so far— the feet are articulated #SADP2025

We are also working to collected an associated horned dinosaur skeleton from the top of the Foremost Formation— we have hips and adjacent verts so far. It has a ‘hockey stick’ ischium so it’s likely a basal centrosaur of some sort. Hoping the skull is there… #SADP2025

Even in #Canada, fieldwork is not for the faint of heart wrt poisonous critters. This prairie rattlesnake joined us for breakfast & you need to be on the lookout for scorpions when digging. #SADP2025

The ornithomimid block is shaping up nicely. The body of the specimen is in a cemented sandstone with ironstone (potential for feathers?!?) so we don’t want to expose much in the field— it will have to wait for the lab.

Here’s a highlight for this field season: a complete frontal from a troodontid #dinosaur— I think the first from the Oldman Formation. I’m excited about this one. Found by none other than Wendy Sloboda. #SADP2025
