This was an exciting project to work on. Another example of the great collaboration between Carle Illinois Med and @mechseILLINOIS - including senior design students Michelle Huang, Josh Knize, Carolyn Simon & Griffin Sipes

I'm so excited to announce that I was awarded an U.S. National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship this year. I couldn't have done it without the tremendous support of my lab Mariana Kersh, PhD Sara Moshage kelliehalloran

So excited to work on this project with Mariana Kersh, PhD Michael Focht and Joey Peters!

Congrats to @mechseILLINOIS's Griffin Sipes for receiving an U.S. National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.🙌 He'll apply his research in Mariana Kersh, PhD's Tissue Biomechanics Lab to understand and treat common injuries experienced by people who use wheelchairs. ➡️mechse.illinois.edu/news/46802

If you’re attending SB3C Organizers and want to learn about structure-function in knee ligaments via fibers 🧶 and diffusion MRI 🧲, come to my talk tomorrow at 12:30pm in Chesapeake F Mariana Kersh, PhD #SB3C2022 #sb3c

Congrats Sara Moshage on winning 1st place in the SB3C Organizers PhD student paper competition!!! We are so proud of you!

Excellent work from Sara Sara Moshage. Over 200 (!) bone samples were tested to develop these new relationships for young 🐎🦴.

If you’re attending Orthopaedic Research Society and would like to learn about detecting damage non-invasively in knee ligaments via fibers 🧶 and MRI🧲please stop by Poster Session 1 #1161 this Sunday 10:15-11:15am! Abstract, poster, and short video: tinyurl.com/mws8f9pw #ORS2023 Mariana Kersh, PhD

It’s time!!! Head over to poster #1161 Orthopaedic Research Society to learn about Roberto Pineda Guzmán’s work on MRI of fibers. Roberto is also poised for his next steps post-PhD this summer, come chat with him if you are looking for a fantastic scientist.

Looking forward to presenting our work ISBS Annual Conference!

I am incredibly grateful to receive this generous award from the De Luca Foundation. A huge thank you to Mariana Kersh, PhD and Ian Rice for your mentorship and continual help with this project, along with all the support I've received from my colleagues in the Tissue Biomechanics Lab.

We're proud to support Seed for Science winner, Griffin Sipes, and his research into expanding exercise opportunities for persons with spinal cord injuries👨🦽💪 Learn more about Griffin's research👉 bit.ly/3RrufR6 and keep an eye out for Seed for Science 2024 coming 🔜👀
