Monday memories, looking back at some of our favourite projects. First up a fabulous collaboration with Signal Film & Media -‘Curating Climate: Nature Now’, a series of collaborative commissions with artists Michaela French, Louise Beer and Melanie King, funded by Arts Council England.

Concrete Country by Lucy Tomlins. Installed 2021. Sited next to a natural crossing through a shallow beck sits this oversized stile. It expresses an essence of crossing over, of boundaries between water and ground, grass and path, forest and non-forest.

We have had an expert invertebrate specialist surveying in the valley. As well as many other species he found a thriving population of mountain bumble bees. Its Latin name is Bombus monticola. This loosely translates as ‘the booming mountaineer’, what a great name!
