I’m going to present a poster in ASCB/EMBO this year. Stop by if you want to know about oligodendrocyte, one of the most powerful lipid producing cells in the body. Lots of beautiful EM, primary culture and lipidomics! #cellbio2023 #membranetrafficking #lipidtime

In a mouse model of #Alzheimer’s disease, amyloidosis itself triggers age-related #oligodendrocyte and #myelin damage mediated by CD8+ T cells that promote the accumulation of interferon-activated myelin-damaging #microglia nature.com/articles/s4159…

🎉Excited to share that my PhD work is out Immunity. We show that epigenetic reprogramming via innate immune training with BCG vaccination or KO of HDAC1/2 in microglia enhances remyelination in aging, highlighting mechanisms of age-associated decline in myelin repair(1/1)

My first-author paper is out today Nature Communications ! We investigated how oligodendrocytes produce myelin. Using volume EM, we characterized oligodendroglial ER (magenta) in developing myelin and explored nonvesicular lipid transport involved. #lipidtime doi.org/10.1038/s41467… (1/n)

Now published in the June issue Nature Neuroscience I am especially happy that the artwork my 4-year-old son created (with a little help) was chosen for the cover. #Glial cells in diverse hues as paint splotches, CD8+ #Tcells in red, aberrant #myelin in purple. Thanks Elisa Floriddia & co!

Are T cells in the brain friend or foe? In tauopathy mice, CD8⁺ T cells can slow pathology. In older, wild-type mice, they damage the optic nerve. (@NINDSnews NIH @tumuenchen ow.ly/5yc650Wos1Y
