You may be asking yourself “why group care?” Group care gives women the opportunity to share with and learn from one another. It also offers health care professionals the opportunity to learn from women and integrate that into their practice.

Introducing #PersonnelSpotlight, starting with GCG’s founder, Sharon Schindler Rising! Sharon developed the CenteringPregnancy model of healthcare - found at over 500 sites - and now she provides major direction for GCG.

In 2017, a pilot study was conducted in Malawi and Tanzania to test the effectiveness of antenatal group care on pregnancy-related empowerment. Results in the two countries differed. Find out more: ow.ly/oHnL50nJX3x
