A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. RT if you agree 🌳

Unshamedly a fan of this human. An absolute one-off, successor to noone. We don't agree on every single detail of every issue but my respect and admiration for his passion & integrity is pretty much boundless. theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2…

Next year, please let the dandelions grow! They support over 50 insects species. They're a great early season food source for pollinators including bees, butterflies and hoverflies. No need to mow. And please don't use weedkiller. RT if you're on board 🐝

We need to plant many more native trees in urban spaces, and better protect and value existing ones. This helps nature and wildlife. It's #ClimateAction. It reduces floods, pollution and urban heating. And it improves our lives. More: bit.ly/2eMCYds Via The Nature Conservancy
