A great talk from Soon Mi Lim about creating video modules and to demonstrate the technical skills for the physical chemistry lab course! #ACSFall2023 Chemistry Department Texas A&M Arts & Sciences

Come join us for Karen L Wooley’s talk today highlighting recent efforts to utilize insects as feedstocks and the transformation of them into superabsorbent hydrogel materials. #ACSFall2023 📆 8/14/2023 ⏰ 5:00pm 📍 SF Marriott Marquis Golden Gate A ACS PMSE Division American Chemical Society

We are thrilled to share the ACS Pressroom news release for our work utilizing black soldier flies as a sustainable supply chain for natural building blocks. These insect-harvested feedstocks can then be transformed into degradable plastics such as superabsorbent hydrogels.

🪰 Researchers find that black soldier flies are a good source of chemicals to make #bioplastics. American Chemical Society Wooley Research Group Karen L Wooley brnw.ch/21wBFS5

Come stop by Cassidy’s ACS POLY Division talk on a scalable process transforming adult black soldier flies into degradable plastics. 🪰 📆 8/15/2023 ⏰ 4:10pm 📍 SF Marriot Marquis Salon 3-4 #ACSFall2023 American Chemical Society Karen L Wooley Jeff Tomberlin Chemistry Department

A fun time as always with David Germack having a little Wooley group members gathering!! #ACSFall2023 #WooleyGroup Karen L Wooley Soon Mi Lim shanna

T’s and G’s to all the Aggie chemists who joined for #ACSFall2023 ! Chemistry Department Texas A&M Arts & Sciences Texas A&M University

Wooley Research Group was testing out a water-absorbing polymer for an outreach event tomorrow. Looking forward to sharing the science fun with students tomorrow. Chemistry Department Texas A&M Arts & Sciences Texas A&M University

With Cassidy's Tods (black soldier flies), Wooley Research Group is heading to Aggie STEM camp. Can't wait to share science fun with the campers! Chemistry Department Texas A&M Arts & Sciences

Wooley Research Group had a fun time with Aggie STEM campers yesterday. Our talks about polymers from bugs and nature got campers' attentions for sure as well as hands-on activities with polymers. Looking forward to participating in future outreach activities. Chemistry Department Texas A&M Arts & Sciences

More pretty effervescent bubbling as Ashley Braaksma finishes making some sugar based monomer precursor!

Come check out the Wooley lab tomorrow at the Chemistry Department graduate recruitment weekend open house!
