Louise Krupski Lewisham Labour Brenda Dacres OBE Tx :-) I did receive the Lewisham Council's comms & it left me dismayed - it stated: the works taking place "primarily involve the clearing of rubbish and debris" & "it is vital that any works taking place do not negatively impact on wildlife and habitats on the site" ...

Louise Krupski Lewisham Labour Brenda Dacres OBE Lewisham Council The Council's assessment is soooo far off the mark. It is self evident that both the above pronouncements are incoherent. We see the destruction to habitats that is happening every day - telling us that this is "rubbish clearance" is asking us to mistrust our own eyes.

Louise Krupski Lewisham Labour Brenda Dacres OBE Lewisham Council And saying that "it is vital that there is no negative impact on habitats" is hard to read when literally, we are seeing an apocalyptic scape w/ acres of rich undergrowth & rare reed beds ripped out, limbs hacked off TPOd trees, other TPOd trees simply removed. before & after

Louise Krupski Lewisham Labour Brenda Dacres OBE Lewisham Council RSPB CPRE London But perhaps most of all its the lack of vocal, positive championing of the solution to the problem - the creation of the Railway Children National Park. We know Lewisham Council are capable of leadership cos we've seen Beckenham Place Park and the 5M+ investment secured...

Louise Krupski Lewisham Labour Brenda Dacres OBE Lewisham Council RSPB CPRE London ... where is the equivalent leadership for Grove Park? The Mayor cld bring landowners together and find out what's required to adopt the vision. You would find a very mobilised community ready to assist. The decision to ignore Grove Park & focus elsewhere is a political choice.

So thrilled to hear that Lewisham has won 3 grants from the Rewild London Fund to enhance biodiversity at 3 separate sites including work to enhance the Railway Children District Park in Grove Park. Thank you to everyone involved bit.ly/3PoJZmL

Grove Park Library Gardens is London’s 2nd Saddest Playground. Now is the time to show it some love. There is huge scope for a community group to improve the park and that it could potentially be really lovely.
