Over the past two days, 5th graders at Waxpool Elementary learned how to download images from a search engine, upload them to CS First and code them using event, motion, and looks blocks. All of the skills learned will be used for an upcoming LCPS Social Science & Global Studies project on state research.

Fourth graders Emerick Elementary took what they learned about the solar system and used the information to create a CS First coding project to help an alien named Meep Moop find the perfect planet to visit on his vacation. What a great way to wrap up a science unit!

Kindergarten Ss Emerick Elementary engaged in a Machine Learning lesson to see if Google AutoDraw could recognize images of living and nonliving things at the park. Ss had to record their data to see what modifications had to be made to get the program to recognize their drawing.
