£2.8m. That's what we've spent on a new fleet of cesspit tankers. Investing in this critical island infrastructure means more trucks available, more of the time. And we invited the Guernsey Press along to have a look: tinyurl.com/4reuzt3v

We found a nasty surprise lurking in Cobo foul water pump station…. These rag monsters are more often than not made up of an accumulation of irresponsibly flushed wipes, even those labelled as flushable contribute to these horrors! Moral of the story, bin it, don't block it!

Phase 2 of one of our largest new infrastructure projects kicks off next week! 400m of pipe will be installed in Rectory Hill over 12weeks. The road will be shut, but we're working to futureproof supplies to Northern parishes for generations. Learn more: water.gg/ringmain

Spring cleaning this weekend? Remember to dispose of any pesticides responsibly! These chemicals can negatively impact wildlife & water resources, so let's nip it in the bud now (pun intended). Further info for businesses & homes can be found here: gov.gg/gardenchemicals

Ring main – Phase2 250m+ of the 400m of pipework is now installed on Rectory Hill! An example of the importance of forward planning essential infrastructure, failing to do this now could mean pressure drops & even the loss of supply to 000's in future. water.gg/ringmain

Almost 90yrs ago plans for St Sav’s reservoir were drawn up. Critics questioned whether we'd ever need that much water, or if a dam would even hold it! Today we use around 4.5 billion litres a year, over 4x the capacity of St Sav’s reservoir! Bold then, a critical asset today.

In the 30s, several quarries were bought to help secure water supplies for generations. Juas, Jamblin, Marais & Capelles still play a key role today. Together, holding an impressive 838 million litres! A legacy of forward thinking that continues to protect our island from drought

Water saving week is here! And we're starting with your washing machine. Avoiding half loads and only using your machine when its full saves water. Simple. Small changes, big impact. And who wants to be loading and unloading a washing machine more than they need to anyway?
