✨Great afternoon at Edinburgh Zoo with our The Centre for Reproductive Health Principal Investigators! Discussed our strategy & brainstormed #research grand challenges across various themes: gonadal function, pregnancy & early life, translational gynaecology #ReproductiveHealth #Teamwork Institute for Regeneration and Repair

Excited to announce our new review (with @dominicacao jesse veenvliet @jesseveenvliet.bsky.social & JamesDiFrisco) where we explore the use of stem-cell based embryo models in understanding development through a theoretical exegesis of Pere Alberch’s work on “The Logic of Monsters" royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rs….

I am excited to share this beautiful work led by Ruth Williams with Güneş Taylor, Irving Ling, @ivanferrreira, et al. Integrating efforts from our labs at Stowers Institute and MRC WIMM University of Oxford, we show tissue-specific developmental regulation of chromatin remodeller Chd7

📢Excited to share our work on bioRxiv "Spatiotemporal map of the developing human reproductive tract at single-cell resolution"! Beyond grateful to our amazing team Cecilia Icoresi Mazzeo Luz Garcia Alonso roser MarioniLab and collaborators for their contributions. 🧵[1/10]

The postdoc position in my lab UoM Biology, Medicine and Health is open for applications until 15th November jobs.manchester.ac.uk/Job/JobDetail?… and I am also looking for a research technician jobs.manchester.ac.uk/Job/JobDetail?…! Come and have fun with Chicken embryos and single-cell Multiomics! 🐣🧬🐣

📢We have an exciting Research Fellow position at UoNBiosciences to study in vitro gametogenesis. See advert for details: jobs.ac.uk/job/DKP239/res… #stemcells #invitrobreeding

Beyond thrilled to share my PhD work, published yesterday in Developmental Cell. We show that both NODAL and BMP signalling are active in the human blastocyst, but NODAL signalling is not required to initiate or maintain the human pluripotent epiblast. 1/10

The #Nanog gene, is not conserved outside vertebrates. So, how did #pluripotency evolve? This study led by my late friend Andrew Johnson, and spearheaded by D Crawley and Luke Simpson resolves this question. Matt Loose Cinzia Allegrucci #legacy cell.com/cell-reports/f…
