The Infernos concert that was postponed from earlier in the season is finally here. The concert takes place this Thursday, July 31 on Boulevard East at 70th Street. The free show begins at 7 p.m.

Mayor Wayne Zitt and the Town Council invite senior residents to register for the monthly Birthday Luncheon in August. The cost is $10 per person. This month’s meal will take place on Friday, Aug. 1 at Rumba Cubana on Boulevard East. Pickups at senior bus stops at noon.

Guttenberg’s annual summer music season continues with DJ Night on Thursday, Aug. 7. Come out to enjoy DJ Ricky beginning at 7 p.m. in Monument Park at Boulevard East and 70th Street. Dance to great music, chill with friends, or enjoy free eats from the HCST food truck.

Seniors are invited to join in playing bingo at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8. Come socialize with friends and neighbors in the community room at 7005 Boulevard East.

More than 700 residents and guests attended Guttenberg’s annual Night Out Against Crime event on Tuesday night, Aug. 5 in the GSL parking lot. Mayor Wayne Zitt not only hosted the night, he climbed into the dunk tank and walked away soaking wet.

Guttenberg’s private cooking classes at High Tech High School have been fun, educational, and extremely popular, with attendees requesting more, so Mayor Wayne Zitt & Town Council have arranged for Guttenberg senior citizens to receive another class on Wed Aug. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

DJ Ricky had the whole park dancing when Guttenberg’s Summer Music Series presented Disco Night on Thursday, Aug. 7. A large crowd turned out to enjoy classic tunes on a fine summer night in Monument Park.

All seniors are invited to register for a day trip to Amish country in Lancaster County, PA on Fri, Oct 3. This is one of the town’s most requested trips. Cost is $50. Register with Belkis Rubio at 201-868-2315, ext 152. Seating limited. 1st-come, 1st served, so register early!
