The definition of ‘exceptional circumstances’ was lost by our illiterate government. This MUST change now. Sewage now regularly gets dumped in the sea regardless of whether it’s been raining. This is a crime.

And here's Southern Water's contribution to mankind this morning. More sewage being dumped onto more beaches polluting even more seas. I note they are still refusing to publish their inland sewage dumping data. "Exceptional situations"? Feel free to explain Southern Water.

Now there is truly shocking statistic. 167 hours elapsed between the showing of episode 1 and 2 of Paul's brilliant documentary yet during that time Southern Water managed to dump the equivalent of 931 hours worth of sewage along the south-east coast of England.
