Did my first contest today with Championship Section Haverhill Silver Band at Bolsover Festival of Brass today. Delighted that we came second out of 18 bands, with our principal cornet Tim Pannell winning the soloist prize. Our MD Paul Filby did a superb job in preparing us.

We're delighted to announce that we came 2nd at Bolsover Festival of Brass. Congratulations to our principal cornet player Tim Pannell who, as well as arranging 4 of our 5 pieces, also picked up the best soloist award for his sublime playing on cornet, flugel horn, and trumpet!
