At last night's Wandsworth Council Meeting, Conservatives tabled a motion to STOP the Ashburton Development. West Putney Labour Cllrs Jeremy Ambache & Claire Gilbert voted to continue and build 8 housing blocks AGAINST the wishes of residents. They put the Labour Party first.

🗳️ We were shocked to learn 6,558 votes went missing on election night, with an incorrect result being declared in #Putney. #Wandsworth residents need answers. 😡 How did this error happen? ⁉️ Why wasn’t it detected ‘til now? 🧐 What steps are being taken to prevent a repeat?

Three weeks ago, I wrote to the Council Leader asking him to urgently bring proposals to tonight’s Finance Committee to protect financially vulnerable pensioners from the Government’s decision to restrict Winter Fuel Payment. He didn’t reply, and committee was tonight. 🧵

The amendment failed, because every single Labour councillor voted against it. They couldn’t explain why they voted against it. We don’t know when we’ll get a scheme, or what help - if any - pensioners who fall just above the new eligibility criterion (Pension Credit) will get.
