HACU Director of State Government Relations Noemi Lujan Perez, spoke in support SB 1348 by Senator Steven Bradford, to establish California Black-Serving Institutions Program for institutions that excel at providing academic resources to Black and African American students.

Advocating for HSIs! HACU Western Regional Office attended the Assembly Budget Subcommittee #1 hearing to oppose budget cuts to the CSU & UC systems. We highlighted the critical impact these cuts would have on HSIs and the students they serve.
