So excited to have attended the Gordon Research Conferences in biomaterials this week! I got to give a talk on my work with active immunotherapies for inflammation, met so many amazing people in the community and had wonderful conversations about science. Looking forward to 2025!

🚨New Collier Lab paper🚨 We took advantage of natural antibodies against phosphorylcholine to design a supramolecular peptide nanofiber active immunotherapy for IBD. 🎉Congrats Elizabeth Curvino and co-authors! Tatiana Segura Helena Freire Haddad mia woodruff Alexa Anderson

Congrats to our Immune Engineering SIG SFBiomaterials awardees Tanvi Pathrikar Bajpayee Lab, Helena Freire Haddad Collier Lab, and Rebeca Stiepel Kristy Ainslie! Amazing Webinar talks yesterday! (also to Sehwan Jeong who could not make it). Thanks also to our SFB/IE community for your support!

New publication alert! We developed a complement C5a-targetting active immunotherapy with applications in models of sepsis and arthritis. Congrats Kelly Hainline and co-authors Helena Freire Haddad Anna Gilpin Elizabeth Curvino shyni varghese sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Happy to report we had another successful LatinXinBME Symposium! Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thanks to our co-host Johns Hopkins BME! We were so happy to be surrounded by so many great Latinx scientists and learn all about their work ❤️🔥❤️🔥

🔥New Collier Lab publication🔥 We employed supramolecular peptide nanofibers to interfere with C3a and C5a activity in vivo and better understand the role of both anaphylatoxins in LPS-induced sepsis. Congrats Helena Freire Haddad and co-authors! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…
