Today, under DPA Title III, we’re providing $32.4M to Manus Bio & $12M to Antheia to bolster manufacturing of KSM/API to help reduce reliance on foreign sources for the medicines Americans need, esp. in national emergencies.

We expect the progress made with today’s funding will better position our nation to rapidly develop, validate, and produce diagnostic tests. These diagnostics use platforms that not only allow for rapid development of new tests but also can be ready for production at any time.

The funding awarded today is critical for the health care delivery system. To keep Americans safe, the U.S. health care system must be prepared for emerging threats, including any changes in avian flu.
