FINALLY someone is saying this out loud and we are hearing the reality of the great myth of #safeandlegal routes being available - as if it is a choice that is disregarded by ‘illegal immigrants’ who prefer to risk their lives to come here.

The Home Secretary stops talking before she has to admit that the only way a teenager fleeing war & persecution to join family in the UK can get here is by getting into a small boat & risking their life This is the reality of the closing down of safe legal routes. It is shameful

We are attending this webinar hosted by City of Sanctuary UK 🧡 to become more aware of what is happening on our doorstep. It also fuels our work with Lambeth Citizens migrant justice team. Our fellow members support people in hotels so it’s important to understand & support their work
