The past week saw some of our team attend Lyon work & rescue. 4 supervisors re qualifying & 2 new supervisors trained & assessed. Happily all 6 have passed & will return to watch to support our technicians & the wider service at rope rescue incidents across the HIWFRS region.

There’s something new in the 32 appliance bay! 32r4 has had a facelift! Designed around the Nfcc team type requirements for rope rescue teams, the vehicle is fitted out to assist us providing a level 3 rope rescue response to HIOWFRS as well as assisting our partner agencies

Wow it’s been a while, lots keeping us busy. 32r4 the new TRRU van is steadily clocking up the miles, both in county & with neighbouring services. Lots of joint training with other stations & with UKRO ‘24 fast approaching the comp team have been getting the band together.

End of a tough first day for the rope competition team at this years UKRO being held in our home county. 4 scenarios today, 3 at 90 mins and one 40min as well as moving between locations with our equipment. Onwards for day 2 on Saturday!
