*Either* this is defamatory *or* women's having rights based on their sex is inherently "anti-trans". I don't see an alternative reading.

This is quite shocking. This podcast defames the LGB Alliance by saying they exclude gender non-conforming people. That's not even the worst part - they do a whole episode on Mermaids without mentioning Jacob Breslow.

The NYT Magazine has written a thorough account of the fiasco of pediatric gender medicine. The author frames Skrmetti as having set back the cause of trans rights by a generation. It frames Skrmetti as a strategic error by the ACLU driven by the impetuousness of its lead trans

It's ridiculous that women's rights campaigners may have to go back to court to force the Scottish government to obey the clearly expressed law post-FWS. But if we must, we will.

Women and girls do not challenge men who walk into women's bathrooms because they are scared of the kind of men who feel entitled to walk into women's bathrooms. This is not men being "accepted as women", this is men being treated like men.

β€œThe idea that it's radical to think that there are two sexes and that it matters to recognise that... for women's rights - that's not the radical view... The radical view is the one that Stephen Fry holds.” Helen Joyce speaks to @thatalexwoman Talk

The FWS judgment was a model of clarity. The SC used the principles of statutory interpretation to set out when s9.1 of the GRA holds (sex deemed to have changed by possession of GRC), and where s9.3 holds (sex not deemed to have changed). That reasoning holds in ALL laws.

A bit late to this comedy gold, but Maggie Chapman MSP quietly voting FOR single-sex toilets is peak political humiliation for this gender priest. Imagine spending years moralising, only to obediently surrender to biological reality when personal consequences became apparent.

I find it 'very weird' that a woman who has a good few years on me doesn't seem to recognise that she too is a middle aged woman. There's a subset of academics who never develop the life skills to leave education- it explains a lot about universities.
