This past Friday the HKE department celebrated all students who had their degrees conferred at the Rhodes University 2025 graduation. This celebration reminded the graduates of their journey through the department and what it means to belong to a human centred discipline.

Last week Saturday the HKE department took part in the Rhodes University open day. This open day, targeted at matrics and grade 11s, allowed the department to share with the students what HKE is about and, showcased some of the equipment that the department uses.

The first year MSc candidates had the opportunity to present their research proposals to the HKE postgraduates and staff. Feedback was given through questions, discussions and comments that aimed to support the candidates in building a strong framework for their masters research
