Congrats Wojtek Stawski!! 🥳🥳

It's University of Oxford Oxford Chemistry Open Days this week. Exciting to see some Anderson Group porphyrin nanorings flapping in the breeze on this very fetching department flag!

Research Fellow Andrew Frawley has spent the week with 9-11 year olds, exploring colour, fluorescence & super-resolution microscopy. The students also explored links between science and art through pigments and archaeological artefacts. Hopefully inspiring some future chemists!

My first corresponding, two-author paper, at Chemical Science 😁 X-ray structures of porphyrin nanorings. They’re more flexible than you think! We Harry Anderson Group report 3 pseudopolymorphs and a fullerene cocrystal. Look at this nice packing! (1/3) pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

I hope this paper will be interesting to all those who like large molecular rings, big crystal structures, porphyrins and fullerenes and their assembly! Delius Lab 🇪🇺🇺🇦 ⌬Michel Rickhaus Mathias Senge Ramesh Jasti Stępień Lab ⚗️ Jack Clegg Dr Christine Beavers💎

Wojtek Stawski Harry Anderson Group Congratulations Wojtek Stawski and Harry Anderson Group on another beautiful ChemSci paper. We have added this one to our HOT article collection! (pubs.rsc.org/en/journals/ar…) Thanks for publishing with Chemical Science.

I am hiring a #PhD student to join my #newPI group at The University of Manchester! If you are interested in using theory and computations to understand how to control and harness magnetism in π-conjugated molecules and materials, click here: findaphd.com/search/Project…

(1/5) To wrap up the year, my first paper out of The University of Manchester has been published in ACS Nano: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… We explore: 1. How to model the electronic structure of large conjugated systems? 2. How large can these systems get and still exhibit quantum phenomena?
