If we’re going to truly break the cycle of violent crime and re-offending, we need to have more effective rehabilitation for those in prison. Today, I was pleased to see this work in action at the new City Hall-funded and prisoner-run restaurant in HMP Wormwood Scrubs.

Recently we used Wayout TV to ensure our prisoners know what to expect when they attend a social visit here at Scrubs - including a manager’s briefing filmed live 🎥

HMP Wormwood Scrubs would like to wish all its residents and staff a very Happy Diwali & Bandi Chorh Diwas tomorrow 4th November. Our Chaplaincy has distributed boxes of Indian sweets to all Sikh and Hindu prisoners, as donated by the local Sikh community 🪔🕯🌟

120 refurbished tools, 30 bird boxes and 3 shelving units for sheds were given away by HMP Wormwood Scrubs to local schools and community groups last weekend 🐦🛠 These items were all either built or refurbished by prisoners at Scrubs through the Tools Shed Project The Conservation Foundation 🤝
