Great day at HQ Centre East Midlands Regional Subject Matter Experts annual conference with Colonel Cadets at Chetwynd Barracks, discussing how we can help & support each other and the four counties in the region, some very good topics & loads of encouraging collaboration.

Defence review includes the cadet forces which the Gov want to expand by 30%, I guess we need to recruit more CDAVs first

Today I found out that I have been awarded the MBE in the Military Gazetted List, such a proud moment in my life, hugely honoured. My thanks to the person that nominated me.

Visited the East Midlands Region First Aid Competition for cadets and CFAVs all organised by Lt Christine Langham HQ Centre EM Region First Aid Training Officer, brilliant turnout, all the cadets were enjoying the competition. EM now have a cadet & Adult team for the Nationals

SSI Karen Bulloch selected by the Commandant of ⁦Derbyshire ACF⁩ to receive my award for 2024/25 which is presented to a CFAV below the rank of Captain for exceeding the Commandants expectations.

Well worth the drive to Warcop Camp today to visit CCF Central Camp week 1 run by HQ Centre CTT. Cadets thoroughly enjoying themselves, Clay Shooting, Gun Course, Ranges, Drill, managed to see end of an FTX all in high spirits. Congratulations CTT & CFAVs. ⁦National Colonel Cadets⁩
