Thanks to all contributors to this release!! Hannah Sophia Davies, Guillaume Cordonnier, Adrien Delsalle and people at QuantStack for their contribution and advice on the design of the library (also for #xtensor!) It is supported by GFZ (Jean Braun’s section Earth Surface Process Modelling at GFZ).

You mean I can now just look at it online instead of hiking all the way out to it?! Jokes aside this is one of my favourite outcrops, thanks João C. Duarte for taking me to it during my PhD

Excellent paper by Robert Stern, Taras Gerya and Paul Tackley opening the doors for a new tectonic world. Plate tectonics is only one of many modes in which planets can operate. These modes also represent different evolutionary steps. agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/20… #geology #tectonics

Awesome work to JAXA for landing on the Moon but I can't not see the Kerbal Space Program menu screen when I see the image of their lander.

Another thing that will happen in about 200 million years is a new supercontinent will form from all the continents coalescing (most likely due to the Pacific closing)!

Incredible! Only 27 Myr old too, when our solar system was this age there's a good chance the Moon didn't exist yet and Theia was still roaming around.
