Nuntastic! A brilliant evening hearing the The Basilinda Consort perform ‘Wounding Harmonies: Baroque Music from exiled English Convents’ in Christ Church - appropriately by the shrine of St Frideswide! 🎶🎉

Her Manuscript! Canoness Eugenia Villana is all over this 1552 Italian choir book manuscript. Talk about a triple threat (music, calligraphy, illumination)! #Nuntastic Newberry Library (Case MS 115.5)

Wonderful to visit the Abbaye des Solesmes recently. The abbey is the burial place of Dom Prosper Guéranger, whose work in the area of liturgical renewal and sacred music had such a major impact on British and Irish monastic communities in the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Great Lisbon Earthquake struck on 01 November 1755. The nuns of Syon Abbey were living in Lisbon at the time. Their archive contains a letter from Sr. Catherine 'Kitty' Witham, which vividly describes the earthquake & its aftermath. #OnThisDay #SyonAbbey #Nuntastic #Archives
