Today, WHO Ukraine, WHO/Europe & Ministry of Health of Ukraine held a policy dialogue on sodium reduction for NCDs prevention in Ukraine. Part of #SaltAwarenessWeek, the event brought together key stakeholders to enable action towards reducing salt consumption and addressing NCD risk factors






I am with our WHO Ukraine team in Zaporizhzhya to check on healthcare needs and have witnessed both destruction and dedication. We looked at medical facilities and met with local health officials. We will continue our support to public health and health care to support people 🇺🇦





For World No Tobacco Day, WHO Ukraine, Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Міністерство освіти і науки України presented the Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) data among 🇺🇦children aged 13-15: 🔷Cigarette smoking decreased from 24% (2005) to 9.2% (2017), but rose to 12.3% (2023) 🔷19.6% use e-cigarettes 🔷47% want to quit
