Educators from around the country visited our ISTE playground this afternoon to see how LCPS News is integrating Computer Science and Computational Thinking in grades K-8. What a fantastic showcase from all of our Instructional Facilitators! #CSforLCPS

Really powerful moment happened after I finished: The gentleman running audio and video for our playground came over to tell us that this meant a lot because his son has Autism and he was happy to know that there are programs like this out there for children like him. The staff Emerick Elementary held a Nailed It! challenge this afternoon. Teams were tasked to use their LCPS News 5Cs to design and decorate an eagle themed cake. Teams also competed in CT challenges in order to earn Pastry Power Up Boxes that contained special decorations.
