Our Chair Halisha Kaur has written about the need for strategic oversight of professionalisation: "Without a long-term workforce strategy, the sector could lose pace with other industries when it comes to attracting high-quality and highly skilled staff and leaders".

🚨UPCOMING NETWORKING EVENT🚨 Our second networking event will take place on Friday 21st June, themed around pride month. We've got a great panel of speakers lined up including Dewbien (she/her) 🌈, @RiversideLeeKB, and @alexandramgib. Register here: cih.org/events/cih-fut…

I love seeing my articles published and shared across social media, but there’s nothing like seeing your name printed in ink on a page! Inside Housing 😄

On one hand, great to see young people interested in the importance of housing. On the other, how awful that a kids news service has to create a news package like this due where we're at now. No Place to Call Home: A Newsround Special - BBC Newsround bbc.co.uk/newsround/av/6…

I’m so excited about this nomination! A huge well done and thank you to Inside Housing for showcasing the talent that the future of the sector holds - and I know that there’s a lot of it! Best of luck to every nominee 🤞🏼🎉

I’m so delighted to have made Inside Housing’s 40 under 40 list! insidehousing.co.uk/40under40-winn…

Spotted! Halisha Kaur chair of CIH Futures telling you why you must join us at the Housing Community Summit in Sept. housingcommunitysummit.co.uk/about-the-even…

It's great to see Halisha Kaur from CIH Futures discussing the opportunities for New Towns, take a look! insidehousing.co.uk/comment/labour…

Our elders were invited to this country after hundreds of years of colonial rule that contributed to the industrial revolution. They worked the most difficult jobs in factories for paltry pay. We contribute billions to the economy today. We built Britain and we aren't going away.

This piece I worked on with Halisha Kaur feels prescient today. Can’t help but think that the weekend’s scenes are a consequence of the scapegoating and demonising of refugees and asylum seekers from people who should’ve been more responsible.

What a brilliant two days at the #CommunityHousingSummit with CIH Futures. It’s always great to catch up with colleagues and keep in touch with what’s happening in the sector!

We had a brilliant time at the first ever Housing Community Summit in Liverpool this week. This was a landmark event for collaboration between Chartered Institute of Housing and National Housing Federation and we got to meet so many passionate young professionals across the sector.

Our director Callum Chomczuk with a reminder for all new and young housing professionals to sign up and join fellow Chartered Institute of Housing members at The Big Conversation in Dunfermline on Wednesday 27th November cih.org/events/the-big…
