ECA Deputy Exec Secretary Hanan Morsy spoke at the panel on "Update on the Progress towards the UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation: Challenges & Opportunities", organised by @ECA_Official African Union ATAF Tax Justice Network Africa during '25Ā SpringĀ Meetings


In her intervention, DES Hanan Morsy stressed the importance of better stakeholder coordination, stronger alliance in Global South, better capacity and strategies of negotiators and evidence-based analytics for experts to ensure successful outcomes of the UN #TaxĀ Convention.


In addition, African countries must use digital tools and technology, review inefficient incentives, enhance transparency in tax policies & practices, and strengthen peer-learning to develop modern & robust tax system and close loopholes - stressed by DESĀ Hanan Morsy
