One of the most surprising findings is that inhibitory cells are highly selective and even work together to suppress the activity of other brain cells. Read the study: nature.com/articles/s4158…

In a new Nature Cell Biology paper, De Camilli Lab, Xinbo Wang, & @Shawn__Ferguson found that proteins VPS13C and LRRK2 react to lysosomal damage to repair it — an inability to repair damaged lysosomes may be one mechanism that contributes to Parkinson’s disease 🧠 medicine.yale.edu/news-article/d…

When Ca2+ oscillates, [Ca2+] is the variable. Is [Ca2+] also the control parameter that defines the system's stability? Happy to share our opinions: A molecular systems perspective on calcium oscillations beyond ion fluxes sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Tehran has upwards of 15M metro population. The roads out have been blocked by traffic all day. Where and how do you think these people will evacuate?! My 72 yo mother is literally there right now, doesn't even have a car. I personally know 100s of people in a similar situation.

Evacuating a metropolis of 15 million people? Imagine evacuating all of Manhattan on short notice, when every road is jammed with traffic, a third of the population has no car, and there’s no fuel available.
