Check out our recent paper! Highlighting neurovascular interactions!Thank you Cell Reports, yongsookimlab and all team members for helping make this work possible! #neuroscience #neurotwitter #neurovasculature #mdphdlife

New research from yongsookimlab explores how different regions of the brain are supplied by energy via blood. Read more about their innovative mapping of vascular networks: bit.ly/3IpWkm2

Pericyte loss during Alzheimer's disease has been strongly linked to blood-brain barrier leakage. Our new data suggests that capillary flow deficits due to pericyte loss probably happen much earlier. Just published in Nature Communications nature.com/articles/s4146…

When we published the oxytocin wiring diagram paper earlier this year, I thought we almost need another paper to actually explain 9 circuits with oxytocin connection in more details. Here it is! doi.org/10.3389/fnins.…, by Steffy B Manjila

Check out Poster board A2 this afternoon! Josephine K. Liwang will present on exciting work highlighting GABAergic cell types and microglia in the developing mouse brain!

We are hiring a postdoctoral fellow to study mechanisms of brain microvascular dysfunction in aging and Alzheimer’s disease, using state-of-the-art in vivo multiphoton microscopy and transgenic mouse models. careers-seattlechildrens.icims.com/jobs/47698/pos…. More about the lab: theshihlab.com

Serial two-photon tomography has been a key tool for our cell type and cerebrovascular mapping in mouse brains. Here is a detailed protocol from sample processing to data analysis. star-protocols.cell.com/protocols/2373 by Josephine K. Liwang Hannah Bennett.

The second paper from Rebecca Fleeman, PhD in just a few months — she’s on fire! Super excited to share our work in APOE immunometabolism, this time at the cellular level 🤩

Pleased to share our latest paper on microglia pericyte associations published in Glia. Great work by a great team Catherine Foster Dr. Jake Cashion Jenna Ziebell Jo-Maree Courtney Lachlan S Brown, PhD and the twitterless Gary Morris & others.
