This is a very wealthy country. We can invest in a public run railways to both improve them and cut fares so that those who aren't well off can afford to use them, and we can also invest in our decimated bus services. The money is there; what's missing is political willpower.

The latest stats are out on the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions. They show: ❌Agriculture - emissions rising ❌Industry - emissions rising ❌Waste management - emissions rising ❌Transport - emissions higher than in 2010 Not good enough! We must do more to tackle climate change

the only thing better than this would be if the council owned and ran all local transport but this is definitely a great step! Buses in Manchester need a lot of improvement to be responsive to demand and to actually work for the people so hopefully this will help

What we need now is financial investment to make sure Awaabs Law is funded and enforced as well as commitment to fund the construction of quality Social Housing across the country. Without that we’ll be back to square one and the lives of those living in poor housing will
