Here's a podcast where I waffle on about what my PhD is *actually* about - please do give it a listen. And if you like it, there's plenty more for you to listen to as well.

1/2 Feel like I've fallen off the radar with my twittering but everything seems to be coming together this summer. An article on my first study is under review, and data collection of my second PhD study commences this Friday with Gamelan Sekar Petak, with many more lined up until August.

2/2 And very excited to be presenting two papers at ICMPC17_APSCOM7 in Tokyo, the first talk on my second study at GAPS2 Conference in York, and fingers crossed SysMus_Conf in Sheffield. Better dust off my presenter hat.

Three quarters of the way there with my second PhD study to go, having conducted experiments with gamelan groups in York, London, and Dublin. Touch wood, all going to plan - and it's been so lovely to meet players from all walks of life who feel enthusiastic about my research!

With all of my data collection now complete, the article on my first PhD study has now been accepted for publication! Huge thank you to my co-authors Anna Czepiel and Hauke Egermann. Find the abstract here, with the full article to soon follow frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…

Delighted to present today at ICMPC17_APSCOM7 on some research conducted with Jonna Vuoskoski at UniOslo_RITMO last year. Thank you to the organisers, and for the interesting questions. Looking forward to my next talk on my gamelan and shared flow research tomorrow morning.

Du er fantastisk, Dana & The Monsters! A hugely engaging overview of your thesis, and very much enjoying watching your PhD disputation from a short hop across the pond. Thank you UniOslo_RITMO for making the live stream possible.

I had a ball last night, receiving a gamelan crash course and then performing for the escom12 York delegates. Definitely my first gamelan performance, but hopefully not my last
