Few weeks ago installed our new MicroED/3DED instrument,Glacious 2, we are collecting data on new protein crystals that diffracted at 2.7 Ć at the synchrotron, now pushing below2 Ć with MicroED. Very happy and excited! #MicroED Movingwhat Hongyi Xu CMM@UQ Kobe Lab Thermo Fisher

Check out our latest work done Ramaciotti Centre for Cryo EM. 75kDa membrane protein PqqU-PQQ complex at 2 Angstrom resolution. Data again from our G1 krios with K3 and BioQuantum filter.

New research from the Grinter lab just published in FEBS Letters. doi.org/10.1002/1873-3⦠Daniel Fox solved the crystal structure of hemoglobin (from my blood) in complex with two copies of a nanobody. The crystal is super funky, with one Nb almost totally disordered. 1/3

Thrilled to see our work out in nature on the #cryoem structure of LYCHOS! A monumental effort from co-first author Charles Bayly-Jones, the @Dr_Ellisdon Lab, the Dr Michelle L Halls Lab from MIPS DDB, Hari Venugopal from Ramaciotti Centre for Cryo EM. nature.com/articles/s4158ā¦

Excited to share our first foray in ML-guided protein design. With the Gavin Knott lab we designed protein binders as that block heme piracy by pathogenic E. coli and potently inhibit CRISPR-Cas13. biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦, biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦

We are excited to share pre-prints describing a successful foray into ML-driven protein design. With Rhys Grinter we designed proteins to potently inhibit CRISPR-Cas13 (doi.org/10.1101/2024.1ā¦) or block heme piracy by pathogenic E. coli (doi.org/10.1101/2024.1ā¦):
