Please record the awkward moment when you tell them you’ve spent most of your career campaigning to have people from Eastern Europe deported.😉

Delighted to see this out in Ecology Letters after two years of work! We provide a mechanistic reframing of the #EnemyReleaseHypothesis that reconciles previous inconsistencies, unifies enemy-related invasion hypotheses, and enhances predictive capacity! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

Giving a talk at #BES2023 - 16:45 in S10 Community Ecology. Come find out if you can predict the composition of a grassland community 30 years after initial seeding…

Brilliant talk from Harry Shepherd @AlienImpacts demonstrating historical contingency in grasslands, and that this can be mechanistically predicted! #BES2023

Very excited to share my first first-author paper in People and Nature! We explore using network ecology to assess ecosystem services & focus on how local and indigenous knowledge can enhance understanding of species interactions to do so 🦋🌿🐦🌽 Kelvin Peh besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/pa…

New empirical paper with @AlienImpacts dream team (Harry Shepherd Maria A. Perez-Navarro Jane Catford) published today Journal of Ecology - we show plant consumers significantly alter seedling survival, with implications esp for community assembly, plant invasion and ERH! besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

Help required plz! Any protocols on phytohormone (JA, SA, ABA) extraction using dried plant material (i.e. air-dried or in oven, NOT using liquid N to snap-freeze?) Getting liquid N will be challenging at field site, hoping to be able to dry and grind leaves & extract later!
