My concerns re the Madueke transfer are mainly centred around the knock on effect it MIGHT have on other deals. Plus, I’m not totally convinced he’s what we need & so I’m finding it hard to get excited. Hopefully I’ll be eating humble pie later down the line but let’s see!

We don’t have enough of these players. We’ve got passers, duel winners & very good system players but we need more of those willing to break the mould, step out of the system and beat their men. PSG are brilliant on the eye and incredibly effective because they can do it all.

Thought this had the potential to turn messy from a good few weeks back. Varandas has called our bluff in that given Gyökeres’ desire to make the move, Arsenal might have expected Sporting to compromise. Varandas is fine with this dragging out. Frustrating situation.
