Respectfully, these debates about spontaneity vs. organization are unnecessarily dichotomous streets have their own ungovernable, beautiful rhythm. *and* ecosystem of the streets is organized networks (like LA thru neighborhood councils, wildfire mutual aid, student encampment..

My latest Liberals use fascism to identify uniquely authoritarian politicians – exceptions to status quo neoliberal order. Rather than an aberration, fascism operates through everyday violences of colonial occupation, capitalist extraction & racial terror briarpatchmagazine.com/articles/view/…

Hunter📈🌈📊 "Borders are not intended to exclude or deport all people but to create conditions of deportability, which produces immense precarity... Workers are kept compliant through threats of termination and deportation." an excellent article from @harshawalia.bsky.social: bostonreview.net/articles/there…

from the streets of LA fighting ICE raids, to the march and convoy to gaza confronting deportations - wherever people meet a bordering regime is where empire begins.

crappy ngos produce a liberal racial justice politics - making us see migrant justice as an issue only affecting some & pitting communities. but the streets & movements show us that migration is an Indigenous struggle, a Black liberation struggle, an internationalist struggle.

one can have views on certain regimes (im an internationalist who supports progressive movements), but leftists atm staying silent on zionist aggression on Iran is despicable and *not* an ethics of internationalism or anti-colonialism. may gazans feel joy, may zionist enemy burn.

Truly floored that my essay is included in BR's favorite pieces from past 50 years (thx Daniel Denvir !!) also, celebrating 50 yrs of BR! - where I first encountered incredible thinkers & organizers who became touchstones & where debate is not flame war bostonreview.net/celebrating-50…

India has engaged in transnational assassinations in Canada. India surveiled federal leader & he had threats to his life Now, Canada & India are trading intel. Yet the racist ways this is cast as an "over there" problem rather than sign of global fascism financialpost.com/pmn/business-p…

lot to be terrified of with news from Minnesota thing that sticks out is how the killer impersonated being a cop. Canada's deadliest mass shooting also involved police impersonation pretending to be cop in order to kill speaks volumes about sanctioned police violence & impunity

Anti-migrant violence isn't just happening down south, nor is it a US export Canada has perfected migrant labour exploitation, much of it remaining invisible. Today, migrant care workers are taking risks & occupying immigration building in toronto. Spread the word and support!

I'm old enough to remember occupation of Afghanistan & Iraq, a never ending war of terror that killed over 4 million people. And using same rhetoric we hear now- manufacturing consent through racist demonization. And lies liberation never comes through imperialist terror, ever.

@harshawalia.bsky.social (@harshawalia) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Occupation of Iraq was justified through same rhetoric we hear now about Iran: weapons of mass destruction, saving women & queers, clash of civilizations etc task of anti- imperialist left is not to litigate these allegations, but to fully refuse racist premise of imperialism.

LA is developing one of the most mass-based city-wide abolitionist efforts I’ve seen. This is building on years of tenant, immigrant justice, and mutual aid organizers’ work. And Unión del Barrio emphasizes in its trainings that it is centrally inspired by the Panthers’ legacy.

most hopeful thing about Zohran's win isnt even Zohran. only time will tell how he will play out in liberal establishment; what is undeniably incredible is people power for a free palestine, transit and childcare, rent freeze, higher wages.. that's a horizon to keep building on
