I’ll be dedicating my Western States 100 race this weekend to FANS 24 Founder Bob Frawley! The was saddened by the loss of ultrarunner Bob Frawley earlier this month. Bob (in white shirt) was the founder of FANS 24 Hour Race, where I discovered ultras!

Wow! Western States 100 100 you did not disappoint! Finished in 19:21:46, 40th of 376 overall, 25th male. I climbed up from 50th to 40th gaining places saving some energy to run from Forest Hill at mile 62 fairly well to the finish. 📸 Chris Thornley

20 Years ago today I broke my neck in a near fatal car wreck avoiding another car that had spun out, and rolling my vehicle violently multiple times. Grateful to survive. I would never trade the experience. It was a revolution in mindset. The power of the mind is endless.

Finished 27th in 36:41:22 for 13th consecutive Badwater 135. Had some leftover energy. Turned around at the finish at the portal and ran back to the start line - 270 miles total. Probably once in a lifetime. 📸 Matthew Watts (Final climb to the Portal)

Last Person Standing Ohio Backyard Ultra w/ 208.344 miles! It was a battle! The battle is won or lost in our mind. To start, to go another mile, into the dark sleep deprived night, into the cold penetrating rain. 1,000 times to refuse when the body or logic challenges otherwise.
