So pleased Ella Janneh has won her case against the therapist who claimed to use penetration as a "therapeutic technique". Aghast the CPS refused to charge him despite the evidence on Ms Janneh's behalf being (as the High Court put it) "extremely strong". Congrats to all involved

I don’t think God finds any of this hilarious. A shockingly tone deaf and ill-conceived speech. Not sure victims and survivors are bothered about playing football with a predecessor’s head. No empathy, no compassion, no idea. The bishops laughing behind him are just as bad.

This was ill-judged. No reference to survivors but instead jokes about his diary, the slightly lofty yet flippant historical reference, and the all-too familiar sight of white men chortling while the woman cringes. Solidarity with survivors who feel further hurt by this speech.
