Sonya Massey was somebody. She was treated like nothing by the officers who shot her after she called them for help. Sonya should still be alive today. We say ‘Black lives matter’ because it’s clear that to many, our lives don’t matter. Sonya mattered. We matter.

A great lacrosse week! As I head back to work, I’m reminded of the exhaustion of equity work as a Black woman. I will be taking a long (maybe permanent) break from X while I focus on work, family, and spaces of joy and belonging. If you know me, you know how to find me! 😜
