I had a lovely compliment from a clinic patient at Chesterfield Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS FT this afternoon: “How long have you been here?” “34 years” “Why can’t they make all the doctors like you?” I bet I blushed a bit as I bade her farewell….

I received a message of thanks, today, from a patient, whose ICD appropriately discharged & reversed an episode of VF, on a holiday island, just a few weeks after I had arranged its implantation… Wonderful to hear of another life saved, and still going strong, some years later

In September 2001, I took this photo - & we were on our 18th Resuscitation Council UK Chesterfield Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS FT ALS Course Little did I know that this week, 23yrs later, our 98th ALS course will run, with these two (& both parents) together on the teaching faculty… Another photo due!
