This is what Governor Braun thinks of you. The public isn’t allowed to even look in his office. His meeting with JD Vance is behind closed doors and closed curtains.

If you came across this list used to attack climate science, be warned it is from the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a rich fossil fuel lobby group. The list is HIGHLY misleading and I will go through each and every one in this mega thread to show you why it is misleading:

Highest demand day of the year in Texas, first time over 83,000 megawatts. Solar again providing a consistent, reliable 30% of demand; wind and solar combined are at ~50%. Plenty of extra power available, prices are low. No conservation alerts necessary. #txlege #txenergy

I was just in Japan for two weeks, and learned a lot from talking Japanese policy wonks about the "strategic ambiguity" at the heart of the US-Japan trade deal, and what this reveals is -- and isn't -- in a number of the President's "deals."

I checked the DOE claim that sea level is rising at a lower rate than predicted by IPCC: it is false. For 2030 the IPCC predicts a best estimate 9-10 cm relative to 1995-2014 (Table 9.9). The satellite data show a rise of 74 mm until 2025. At this rate that will be 93 mm by 2030.

Having served on the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council, I can tell you that state control of historical narrative is a bright red line. The WH directive for the Smithsonian to "align messaging" with a political task force is a sanitized term for creating a ministry of truth. This

Cleaning Up the Streets—By Force The Nazis wasted no time. Almost as soon as they consolidated power in 1933, “asocial” raids became routine. Police, stormtroopers, and local officials swept through cities, pulling people off park benches, out of shelters, and away from street

ICE grabs high school student out walking his dog—leave dog behind in traffic. Agents joked "Thanks to him, we get to drink this weekend"—laughing he just made them $2,500. First tied dog to a tree—then cut collar off & let him run loose in heavy traffic on Sepulveda Blvd.

Every single Indiana Republican in Congress has said they support mid-decade gerrymandering. That means they want over 40% of Hoosier voters to have no representation. It’s not fairness, it rigging the lines to shoplift two districts from Indiana voters.
