Some very striking figures from Institute for Fiscal Studies analysis this morning... Debt interest is £111 billion(!), that’s £64bn higher than a few years ago. It's set to stay high. This is a key reason why it's more difficult to balance the budget

The latest Scottish Fiscal Commission projections show funding for day-to-day spending on public services growing 0.8% a year in real-terms in the 3 years to 2028-29, down from 1.5% growth forecast last December. Implies VERY tough choices. Link to our full response here ⬇️
