So here’s a tale… I noticed Charlotte Owen, the junior aide Boris Johnson controversially ennobled, has a new gig with - shock! - Boris Johnson. But that’s only the start. There’s also uranium, Iran, Steve Bannon..& a LOT of qs My piece for The Observer theguardian.com/politics/artic…

This wasn’t just an ‘opinion piece’ for Sarah Jarman—it was her traumatic lived experience. It’s awful that we live in a time when those simply trying to improve the lives of educators must defend their right to challenge Ofsted, when it has been a proven risk to mental health...

And finally, I know headteachers are still suffering. If this is affecting you, do not suffer in silence, there are people ready and able to help. Reach out, try: Headrest or HeadsUp4HTs or Samaritans There is always a way, the world is a far better place with you in it.

Edmund Barnett-Ward Sarah Ditum This was a shocking article by Sarah Ditum. As part of the Headrest team we have listened to colleagues driven to the edge by adverse Ofsted experiences. To be honest lazy journalists pursuing clickbait on a subject they nothing about are, in my opinion, beyond contempt.

nurseryworld.co.uk/content/opinio… Well said! concise article which raises the issues and provides links for further reading. Why is England only country to have paid twice to be part of this - hasn't reception baseline taught us anything?

I'm trying to get my head around what would make Ofsted publish a horribly negative and critical report on EYFS and KS1 at the same time as we have a recruitment and retention crisis and since they promised to prioritise wellbeing. Is it just a basic lack of empathy?

Gubble (@gubb1e) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Sue Cowley Ofsted Not only a lack of empathy but also appears some of the research they have referenced is not relevant. x.com/SwailesRuth/st…

Sue Cowley Ofsted Just read it what a miserable and negative report . No joy in teaching and learning and playing here just knowledge . Exactly why I am not currently in school as a teacher

1/5 With sincere apologies in advance to Michael Rosen 💙💙🎓🎓 NICE 爷爷 We’re going on a word hunt, We’re going to find some chinos, We’re not scared, Oh No, What’s this? "Tier 2" vocabulary! Bizarre and irrelevant, "tier 2" vocabulary. We can’t go over it, We can’t go under it!

Helen Moylett I mean we as some collectively. Also so many bow down to them and enable the policy makers. Was hoping that the we part might get some to reflect. Seems like they continue to enable

I wouldn’t dream of listening to this. He may have ‘survived’ politics but much in education did not survive him! With Dominic Cummings, he stoked factionalism, did untold damage, & seriously distorted subject English. He shouldn’t be helped by @bbcCurrAff to reinvent himself.
