Nicolas Duchateau was an inspiring young surgeon from Belgium who was himself an intestinal transplant recipient. He sadly died in 2021 but his memory lives on in our new award - the Nicolas Duchateau Young Investigator Award. Here is his family presenting it to Carolyn Smullin.
